I Thought You Were Younger When I Hired You: Exploring a Plaintiff Verdict in an ADEA Case    

Rachel Ellis and Joe Cohen will discuss lessons learned in their recent victory in an Age Discrimination in Employment Act trial. Ms. Ellis and Mr. Cohen prevailed against a large Denver firm on a case in which their client was hired because of his experience but terminated because of his age. In their presentation, Ms. Ellis and Mr. Cohen will discuss the practical and strategic considerations that went into prosecution of the case, including case selection, filing the suit, conducting effective discovery, working with experts, surviving summary judgment, and prevailing at trial.
