Arash Jahanian of the ACLU will be speaking. Arash's presentation will focus on employment protections for LGBTQ individuals under federal law, primarily analyzing recent decisions interpreting whether Title VII protects against discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. It will also address recent guidance and proposed guidance from the Trump administration related to these topics, including with respect to protections for transgender individuals, the definition of sex, and Title IX. It will also touch on the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act.
