Statement of Commitment

PELA is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the legal profession and the workplace. PELA understands diversity broadly, to include differences in race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, socioeconomic background, religion, geographic background, and national origin, and supports efforts within the plaintiffs’ employment bar to expand access to the profession, mentor attorneys from underrepresented backgrounds, and advocate for workplaces where all individuals have a fair opportunity to succeed.

Colorful Colorado Fellowship

Annually, PELA offers the Colorful Colorado Fellowship, a summer program supporting diverse law students interested in plaintiff-side employment law and civil rights. The selected 2L Fellow will work at a Colorado plaintiff employment firm, gain hands-on experience representing employees, and receive mentorship and networking opportunities with PELA members. The Fellowship includes a stipend and hourly compensation. Application information is generally provided each winter through the accredited law schools in Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico.

Colorado Plaintiff Employment Lawyers Association is a 501(c)6 non-profit organization.
